The genie is out and it can certainly not go back to the bottle. The other end of reality is, it would only be as good as the support systems provided to take it to a usable level. This space is opening and has the capability of transforming coding once and for you. If you know the functional requirements, the workflow, and a few iterations and you are good to do. It will be an ultimate boom for SMEs or small niche companies, which can declare true independence.
The recent collaboration between Apple and Anthropic in this area marks a tectonic shift in the evolution of human computer interaction, this pertains particularly to the area of creative coding and AI augmented development space. This collaboration aims to redefine how code is written, experienced and deployed, especially by non-traditional developers. Why now? The timing is critical. The multimodal AI, pressure on developers to build faster and securely, and democratisation of software tools have crested this moment of inflection.
Vibe coding represents a new paradigm. The code no longer is seen as solely logic but as expressive, iterative and visual – a medium of creativity. What does Apple and Anthropic bring to the table? Though it is difficult to believe that Vibe Coding can gain commercial viability in the near future, the timelines of the product indicate the same. By early 2026, the collaboration aims to have a commercial offering bundled as part of Vibe Coding Pro and available through the Apple Developer Program.
