CAN YOU TAKE A DETACHED VIEW?
The ringside view is the best view which all of us will agree to but how many of us are able to take a ringside view of our own professional and personal life. If we are able to do that then we can make out the positives and the negatives and give lots of issues a go by, which don’t mean anything from any point of view. This is an objective view which itself is commendable and by practising objectivity there is a likelihood that you may develop a detached view, a new prism to view yourself and world.
While being a player in the game yourself and when you end up achieving physical benefits and success, you still have the capability to look beyond it and take life to the next higher level. Steve Jobs lived in his distorted reality field delivering products which as he believed would have a path breaking impact on mankind and it actually did. This inimitable style of being in shorts, turtle Tshirt and sandals speaks volumes about his detached personality. This is not the detachment of a fakir who quits the world for penance but of a practitioner, of a doer, who has the capability to take a detached view of his existence and even practice it.
This is in stark contrast to the self seeking individuals we generally come across obsessed with linkages of every type biological, friendship, clan, group and the like and working only for consumerist gains, financial returns, achieving at any cost and then making a huge hue and cry out it. There is absolutely nothing else which even touches their thought process and even social service and philanthropy for them is out of vested interest. Outshine others in their motto.
Aspirations and ambitions are in possession of the practitioners of detached view / detachment as well, its just that they don’t correspond to the normal parameters of its measurement. Possessing skills, making contributions to professional and societal well being, creating business and social enterprises not only for themselves are few of their traits. It’s like working free of bondage, the ultimate blooming of the professional and the human being making a distinct impact.
DETACHED VIEW IS THE BEGINNING OF A GREATER CAUSE FOR LIVING.
