POOREST’S DEMOCRATIC PUSH TO THE RICHEST

Democracies can be weirdest in its practice. None of founding fathers of our constitution or any of debates in the constituent assembly could have ever discussed, that democratic set up which they fondly envisaged and tipped to be brought to practice, would first lead to the creation of the richest and help them grow, grow and grow financially. If you have any doubt about, please go through the affidavits field by the candidates in every successive election. Till today none have attracted any investigator’s eye and remains as a bland piece of paper, as it supposed to be.

Compliance to some regulatory democratic norm/rule happens while simultaneously, no action is initiated is the democratic fallacy that we have created. Democratic fallacy is the best way to define our democracy today. While this meteoric financial growth happens, the constituents that vote them to power grow poorer by the day. Today, more than half of the Indian population lives on few kilograms of grains that are provided to them every month by the government. Government largesse for which they need to come back to the polling booth and demonstrate their conscience. Who has lost his conscience is the biggest democratic battle of the nation?

How do the conscience keepers of the nation able to get a good night’s sleep? Don’t they see a gory atmosphere all around, which they were mandated to change and it is for this reason that they have been voted to power. Coming to the ever-growing richness, the beauty of the whole game is that they don’t do any work and still they get richer and richer. They indulge in full time politics, and Aladdin’s lamp keeps working full time for them. Who vote in largest numbers? The poorest, most downtrodden and largely exploited. They come out in huge numbers and stamp the same system / political calls over and over again; families, leaders, loyalists and what not. The set up that remains harshest to them.

Not that they restrict to themselves or their family, friends and relatives. They know the ways and means to come to power, through the cheapest democratic means of the poorest. They want to make a place in the sun. Their capabilities and skills falter at some stage. At that point, they get into supporting large business interests in a variety of ways; good, bad and ugly, of which there are umpteen examples. It is common knowledge in this country. Might be the businesses can prosper only in this manner in this country. Political success to riches to propelling business riches seems to be the standard democratic format of the nation. Poorest made to provide democratic push to the richest for even greater financial glory is the biggest ironies of a democratic state called India.

FROM LACK OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS TO ULTIMATE DEMOCRACY ENABLED RICHES ARE DIFFERENT FACETS OF THE SAME COUNTRY.

Have a nice evening.
