WHO DECIDES YOUR COMPETENCE?

The teacher’s from a very early age starts evaluating your competence. The parents & few close ones‘ also take a call. When in professional career, the bosses take a try. Whatever, might be their call, it is just an evaluation, it’s taken as a judgement & life is built around it. While somebody can evaluate your competence, only you can actually decide your competence.

This is a personal call. At times it gets kindled by some idea or some experience. When you get over the normal evaluation mechanism for the routine, mechanical skills, the very idea of competence comes into play. If one decides to becomes the fastest typist or the best professional public speaker, these evaluators would be useless. That is an unknown regimen.

Human competence is beyond evaluation & judgment. You decide your competence level & your mind & body respond proactively. We hear a general refrain every that somebody lacks competence to do something. * Individuals with lesser competence make the cut,* is known later. Those who either take the evaluation as God’s diktat, or who evade what they should have done, will certainly have no other story to defend.

Those who evaluate do not have the capability to upgrade nor does the ecosystem. The status quo of mind the biggest curse for an individual. It’s the exceptions, who take the human race forward. Creating a competence at a level unknown, these evaluators cannot even imagine of! They would get more flabbergasted if they are challenged with a competence in a new field.

What you decide is your competence. You can make it happen. Competence is not marks of the educational system or position of a professional career. If you know it, only then can you achieve it. Competence provides you the strength of conviction, skills, steadfastness to remain at the top in whatever you decide. Competence is a tangible & not a concept. Only it’s achiever knows this reality.

DECIDING YOUR COMPETENCE IS THE FIRST STEP TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
