AGENTIC AI
The pace of change in the world of artificial intelligence is by far beating any tectonic change in technology ever. Even more fascinating is the fact that change is making an impact on our lives across the globe with a very small time lag. We have absolutely no idea, as to what would change tomorrow and to what degree. GPT3, the third version of GPT was released in June 2020, and but for its technical capabilities and some research use by the cutting edge professionals in the same field or the related organisation, it remained unknown to the world. Conversational dimension was later added to it and it clicked.
This was the game changer and thus was born ChatGPT, ushered in public domain on the 30th of Nov 2022, took the world like wildfire. Artificial intelligence has become a tool of mass usage since then. From GPT to ChatGPT to AI being mass used to generative AI gaining a clear cut foothold to the new avatar of AI; Agentic AI, is the journey this technology has traversed in the last four years. The last two years have been exhilarating. Like the digital illiteracy being talked about for long, now we are entering an age, wherein if you don’t know AI, you would be termed as AI illiterate.
What is the journey we have covered so far? Generative AI was tasked to create new content, may be text, images or code, based on the input data. Though in the nascent stage, our steady direction towards Agentic AI is loud and clear. It is designed to achieve specific goals autonomously by making decisions and taking actions. “Agentic AI uses sophisticated reasoning and iterative planning to autonomously solve complex, multi-step problems.” It would be a giant leap for AI as Agentic AI starts delivering a scale. It would mean the nemesis of software and apps.
Some of its salient features are a must to know. When talking of its nature; it operates independently and adapts to new information and environments in real time. Purely human functions of decision making, planning and problem solving it can perform with precision without any human intervention. They can be termed as autonomous systems in dynamic environments. Agentic AI is like a wonder machine, a one stop shop to say. Put your business problems on its head and relax. It continuously learns from the real time data to optimise actions and decisions. Whether you can call it artificial general intelligence or not is left for the jury to decide.
AGENTIC AI WILL DECIDE FUTURE OF WORK AND OUR EXISTENCE IN NOT VERY FAR OFF FUTURE.
