However much might we have fun at somebody’s expense, undeniably all sensible people abhor media trails. Convergence of the roles of an investigator, prosecutor & a judge into a moderator / compere certainly has not been the concept behind the creation / sustenance of the media. Not denying that exceptional institutions & professors have performed well in the mandated structure mentioned above & continue to do the same, the vast majority have used this mechanism to cut corners both in quality & costs and have brought the complete professional educational system to an impending disaster.
The availability & quality selection of Human Resources for this system is a big question mark. With vast majority of such resources vested with such immense powers can be a formula to a mass academic & consequently a mass professional disaster. He decides the paper, content, method, questions & also evaluates. This system is conspicuous by the sheer absence of checks & balances. With managements on the financial kill this system is breaking into smithereens.
Total trust with inferior Human Resources & tangential agenda can never deliver results. The result is 95% can’t do coding, average business schools grads can be hired for peanuts & unemployability is at all time high. Present system may decimate our academics. Radical relook is a must. Accredited outside agencies can perform critical academic tasks.
