INDIA’s MONUMENTAL INDIFFERENCE!
Where does India’s monumental indifference come from? It emanates from mindset that I have been care of and I need not be bothered about anybody. Conversely, the indifference displayed, demonstrated and practiced cannot get into any ire of consequence. Life has moved in this manner for weak and powerless and also the middle class in a variety of contexts and scenario. When destiny lands the powerful when in ugly times, they have also faced the same indifference, even when at a few times, it might not be their mistake. Most of time, they have got away with ultimate display of indifference themselves. From not voting to treating the international media with disdain can be two ends of the spectrum.
One behavioral characteristic which runs through nation’s is the highest level of massively practiced indifference. Once you have so called arrived in life, the red carpet of indifference becomes your divine right to passage. There is always a bitter taste lingering in one’s mind, that might be somewhere there are special coaching classes being conducted to develop this trait to ultimate precision. It so pervasive across governments, politicians, bureaucrats, IT, academia and what not, that has become the standard practice. The ones who have victim of this indifference, forget their plight and join the indifference brigade the second they are able to graduate into it, through whatever ladder.
It has reached to such a level that a normal response is treated as a great favour. So many times we hear the refrain that being in such a high position, the person talked in a normal fashion. Normal regular professional behavior and response is termed as an abnormality and that is the reason that elation with once in a while normal behavior. The country is going down the drain with this burden of indifference. The dichotomy of the this huge group indifference psychology group, prevalent in every walk of life in this country, is that they are extremely touchy about their near and dear ones, and all whose interests they want to protect. Their visionary thought process works overtime to ensure their progeny of comfortable life for all times to come.
Amongst those who have enjoyed the benefits through positive discrimination either through the political or government services or academic institution route, tend to inculcate the same indifference for one and all, which others in the great segment have. This has led to perpetuation of indifference. If all practice the same formula that becomes the currency of the day. Government schools in rural areas to health centers sans health in the backwaters of India to the banking industry both public and private can be called as the by-product of disdain which completely disempowers the users / customers / children / sick, all citizens in this country. You can pass a bill without discussion or decide on sections of law & names of the accused in any case at any police station in India. Well protected indifference is our destiny.
WITH THE PERCIEVABLE INDIFFERENCE TO LAW NOW, WE ARE AT THE NADIR OF THE INDIFFERENCE PYRAMID, WHICH WE HAVE SO METICULOUSLY CREATED.
