TECHNOLOGY BLUEPRINT A MUST

The Blueprint Documents for any organisation are one ones which decide the enduring nature of the organisation, its capability to adapt to fast changing business environment, maintain productivity / efficiency way above the average level and in the current times have a neat, clear cut alignment with disruptive technologies. It is in this scheme of strategy having a Technology Blueprint is a must, failing which all other strategy, financial, operations and business developments can be treated as missing the most major component. Technology has an intense bearing on everything if we have the knowledge and vision to foresee.

What would be the fate to Sustainable Development Goals if it not neatly integrated with emerging technologies? Undeniably, if incorporated, it would perform hundred times better. These technologies will get a chance to prove their worth to solve humungous human problems as they are created precisely for this purpose, and giving it a stunted business run is a crime against humanity. What if Khan Academy lectures are used for regular classes with the necessary teacher intervention and support. It would do wonders.

Using technology in education has not made any great impact in knowledge assimilation and on other parameters precisely for the reason that there has been no Technology Blueprint for that purpose. This should be seamlessly merged with the domain and parameterised deliverables. Technology for technology sake or for the purposes of marketing cannot take us any further. This growth has saturated. Having generic policies does not serve any purpose, it has to be organisation specific and should deal with every element of the organisation into its minutest detail.

The technology blueprint should have a method to create, a method of execute, a matrix of human elements, the method of bring change, a technology – domain interplay, a method to operate and improve. Finally, it should become a part of the management thought process and strategy. It will for sure deliver transformational results everywhere – government, public sector, private sector, research & development and NGOs equally.

TECHNOLOGY BLUEPRINT IS A PARADIGM SHIFT IN ORGANISATIONAL THOUGHT, PLANNING, EXECUTION AND FUNCTIONING.
