MIDJOURNEY’S NEW FULL‑BODY SCANNE

Midjourney revealed a full‑body scanner that lowers users through a ring of underwater ultrasound sensors, promising a complete body map in about 60 seconds. Built with ultrasound‑chip maker Butterfly Network, the device will debut inside Midjourney spas that pair scans with saunas, cold plunges, and hot tubs.

The idea is to make advanced imaging fast, comfortable, and routine. Compared with MRI — which is slow, noisy, and costly — an ultrasound‑based scan could let people get frequent, non‑ionizing checks during a single wellness visit, potentially improving early detection and monitoring for some conditions.

That said, ultrasound and MRI see different things. Midjourney’s claim to “MRI‑level” detail needs independent clinical validation, peer‑reviewed studies, and regulatory approval before it can replace established diagnostics for many illnesses.

If proven accurate and responsibly regulated, these scanners could democratize screening, lower costs, and fold preventive imaging into everyday life — but success depends on demonstrated medical performance, data privacy safeguards, and clear clinical follow‑up.
