Leadership is the core to success in a transformative age. With the onset and onslaught of Artificial Intelligence, AI as it is popularly known, we are in the midst of the most transformative period mankind has ever gone through. AI is the apex fundamental and general purpose technology today. It no longer remains a topic of debate, it has more than proven itself. All tech and business leaders are of the opinion that it is moving at an exponential pace, but the response to it is even worse than what it should be even for an incremental technology.

Only known IT behemoths are running the exponentially paced AI show which will fully redefine the world, besides generating trillions and trillions of dollars. The creators, adopters, change makers and users would be the functional AI chain, you should know where you would like to figure, or else out not only in the AI race, but professional existence itself. Vast majority does not know of real AI development even at the knowledge level. How many of you know of Alpha Proteo? Its genesis and what is it going to change fundamentally?

You would have for sure heard of OpenAI, but if you have not heard of DeepMind or Google DeepMind; one and the same, there is an issue. Its founder along with John Jumper, was awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. It was for groundbreaking work on AlphaFold, an AI system that revolutionised protein structure prediction. The debut of AlphaFold1 in 2018 was at the 13th Critical Assessment of Structure Protein, a watershed in the progress of protein structure prediction. In 2020, AlphaFold 2, achieved groundbreaking accuracy at CASP14 revolutionizing the field of protein structure prediction. AlphaFold thus laid down the foundation for the development of innovative tools in the field of protein science.

Thus was born Alpha Proteo in 2022, with the mind boggling capability to design novel protein sequences with desired properties. This is a tool which leverages AI to revolutionise fields like drug discovery, material sciences and biotechnology by enabling the creation of proteins with tailored functions. It can create entirely new protein sequences that don’t exist in nature. It can also predict how these new proteins will fold into 3D structures and how they might interact with other molecules. The end result is that the scientists can use Alpha Proteo to design proteins with desired properties. They are rewriting human existence and we are even averse to creating impact making use cases.
