HAS SOCIAL MEDIA MADE US WISER?
The onset of the social media heralded the handing over the might of the pen to every individual for a global audience. It got plagiarised into forwards and recycling of great thoughts. The cacophony of sound which we witness all around, now had another dimension, cacophony of texts and images. And the incidental windfall was a new language of social media making you unfit for any serious writing.
Nobody reads and nobody writes everybody forwards is the new dictum. Creativity is the pace of your forwards. Writing should have a shelf life, pen to the waste paper basket cannot be called the Writing Lifecycle
With so much of information around we are missing out nearly completely on knowledge and wisdom. The advent of printing transformed mankind. Knowledge became the world’s mainstay. Social Media can change this exponentially.
Time & energy are mankind’s biggest investments. Are we investing it wisely. No forwards please, write your mind and usher in the knowledge economy.
