PROFESSIONALISM to NATIONAL CHARACTER

PROFESSIONALISM to NATIONAL CHARACTER

True professionalism is the transformation of management principles into an ethic. Professionalism thus becomes an ethic, professional being the smallest entity. Ethic becomes an ethos in a slow, gradual yet a consistent process. It permeates through the individual’s psyche and then into families, societies, organisations, regions, nations and at the end of it all, the whole world. The Professional World! Thus the basic management principles transforms into social ethos through the stages of management ethics and then ethos and social ethics.

The pervasiveness of this permeation decides the pace at which professionalism gains roots in that particular social entity. Herein, in this metamorphosis of management principles to social ethos lies the social transformation of the nation. The social ethos of the nation is the national character. It becomes a brand. The punctuality of the Swiss guys and the product which exemplifies this social ethos, the watch, consequently led them to become world leaders in watch industry.
