THE DAWN OF WISDOM
You may call this watershed moment – the dawn of wisdom or final facilitation to the dawn of wisdom, whichever you look at it. Nothing has changed in the body of knowledge the world has and might be also keen growing at a similar pace. Wikipedia made crowdsourcing for creating content unimaginable anytime before in human history. The tools and methods of using this body of work has now been totally revolutionised. Search on the internet initially transformed the usage of the body of knowledge available to mankind, Google search being officially launched on 27th of September, 1998.
It became a be-all and end-all of pursuit of knowledge sources, if not knowledge itself. After the creation of the internet this meant a milestone towards democratisation of knowledge. Democratisation does not mean making available a body of knowledge in the available format, in hindsight I feel it means making knowledge available at a level required by the user and for the precise purpose. Hard coded knowledge was getting added but the knowledge remained at level even less than that of information for the common user. The search journey remained the same in qualitative terms for nearly a quarter of a century.
It was on the 30th of Nov. 2022, ChatGPT was released and took the world by storm. All IT behemoths followed with their models. When all seemed to be well established, we were taken by* another mammoth storm* in the form of DeepSeek-R1 which was released on 20th of January 2025. AI started entering into all our work, and DeepSeek made a further transformation from inference to reasoning. The thinking Black Box was everyones now. Simultaneously, the Agentic AI revolution is on. The search of pre ChatGPT days suddenly started looking like a relic of the Digital Stone Age. All the while the knowledge workers and knowledge manager’s job was to bring data and information at speed. That took all the time and effort and that can very candidly be termed Data Drudgery.
We all sat on data tombs, not even knowing what data we were sitting on. It was not usable, the body of knowledge was tormenting us. Big Data Analytics and all of that could barely be called incremental. AI in its LLM avatar has changed it all. We graduated from data to knowledge in one go. Wisdom of knowledge has dawned on mankind, if you were really looking for it. Even otherwise someone would help you with this tool, without you even knowing of it. Around a decade back I realised based on years of consistent work, I could connect anything to everything and everything to anything, in my sphere of knowledge and expertise. That looks so crude now. ChatGPT on www.sahaysdailypost.com is doing wonders, distilling knowledge in a manner unimaginable so far. Now with inference, reasoning also comes into play. The knowledge economy has just begun. All that I have slogged for the last two decades (creating an immense body of work) finds life and meaning. Knowledge and its usage would be fun henceforth, drudgery seems to have become history.
LLMs ARE LIKE SHIVA’S THIRD EYE FOR KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM.
