CYBER SECURITY- THE HUMAN RESOURCE CHALLENGE

The Cyber Security landscape has transformed for the worse in last three years. Cyber Security Policy 2013 envisaged a requirement of 5,00,000 Cyber Security professionals in the ensuing five years. With 2017 just a few weeks away, the process is yet to start in right earnestness. Quality professionals are the biggest challenge in all dimensions of this threat, which has gone viral to state the least.

Entry level certifications cannot create professionals to meet the biggest challenges. Today the challenge is both of quantity and quality of human resources and also whether the best of computer science brains want to take the plunge.

Large of number if IT companies fail in the system integrators job unable to the complexities of technologies and organisations. In reality, cyber security integration has has become a specialised Cyber Security Integrators job. Such services have still to make a market presence.

Western technical institutions provide high end regular courses in Cyber Security, which is still be a norm in this country. A MTech course in Cyber Security at all IITs, NITs, IIITs & other technical institutions can be a great beginning. A regular flow of high end professionals can be thus ensured, who can added to their skills and expertise while performing their complex tasks.

With high end professionals at our command, research & development would automatically follow and will lead to a vibrant Cyber Security Ecosystem propelling us to the next level. Sooner than later it ought to happen.

STATE OF ART MTech COURSES IN CYBER SECURITY CAN BE THE BEGINNING TO THWART THE ONSLAUGHT.
