AWARENESS & TRAINING

AWARENESS & TRAINING

For any issue plaguing the nation, society, organization and individuals, the blame is squarely put on lack of awareness. If we move a step further, the next reflexive response happens to be the quality of training or no training at all. Awareness & training alone can become the panacea to all ills seems to be a doubtful proposition,  to say the least.

Human response to accident victims doesn’t seem to need any further awareness. Most aware of the citizens are busy clicking their smart mobiles and video recording, is the story getting unfolded day after day on our roads. Our responses are different when it comes to our relatives/friends and total apathy to all others. Governmental machinery sooner that later seems to be the only responsive one. The groups / citizens championing these rights are conspicuous by their absence in such trying situations and incidents.

Women caught is difficult situations; women and child issues in general also meet the same fate. With most aware and matured citizens that our democracy boasts of, the responses can at best be called inhuman. Government apart lots of NGOs are in this field since times immemorial, even imparting training to the government agencies with no tangible results being seen on the ground. Even finds allotted for this purpose remain unutilised. The urge to serve, to be of use and make a difference is found wanting.

That proper accounting and audit is must is not an issue for which awareness or training is required; the Hon’ble Supreme Court came down heavily on the NGOs, only recently directing audit of all such organizations to be completed by the end of the financial year. The people who have taken on the mantle of creating awareness & imparting training, where government efforts are to be complimented or supplemented, cannot live on the wrong side of the law. Awareness and training is made an alibi for lack emergent individual & societal responses. Mindset needs change.

TO GET THE  BEST OUT THE SOCIETY WE LIVE IN, WE OUGHT TO GIVE IN OUR BEST.
