INDIA IS GETTING BUSIER BY THE DAY

As the amenities to conduct work & trade has improved so considerably, the self styled busy Indian, is becoming busier. How many of professional & personal conversations revolve around this topic? What started as a fancy, become the flavour, then a habit & currently at the epidemic levels, on way to pandemic levels. A quiet agenda for comfortable living, an easy escape route. There is also a growing feeling great level of fun, frolic, travel should happen, left over time can go for work. At least, the mental engagement is conspicuously missing, a Catch 22 situation.

At the same time we are hitting top slots in social media usage in all its formats. Pictures have the become the sine quo non of life. Social media conduct has become social conduct. What’sApp work groups are there everywhere. Communication is easy but is that work is all about. The deliverables of the busy Indian in creation & business development is a serious concern. Process & substandard purposeless documentation is provided in lieu of work. Where we need to be busy, in research, there is certainly no war situation there, to deliver. The country can wait! For what the professional institutions deliver, the industry has scathing comments.

How many times somebody has asked you, as to how you manage, so much of work & deliver in a stipulated time? That the person is amazed by your consistent quality; boss asked you to go slow & take a little care of yourself. How many times work has been assigned to you without any supervision? Are there any known areas of work which only you any do. Is it a routine that nobody chases you for time lines and quality. Have you been consistently been honing higher skills?

Being busy is a convenient strategy, where nearly everybody is, all the time. Helps becoming unaccountable to lots of people. The presence over social media / functions indicate to the contrary. Busy Indian & the commensurate delivery is not happening in any field. Archaic processes. We have now become a bonded labor to a concept we got happily wedded to.

BEING BUSY IS NOT A DELIVERABLE.
