PRO PUBLIC SPEAKING – FORWARD LINKAGES

Professional public speaking, as it’s name connotes, happens in the public domain with specific purposes. It is a popular activity & has umpteen practitioners. Over a period of time, due to commercial concerns, it’s become synonymous with an event. Even conferences in the public domain have been subsumed by events. The commercial model takes precedence over the knowledge model.

The professionals coming into the public domain have a purpose. They bring their vast knowledge & specific projects with clarity to the audience; devoid of such knowledge. As projects have a cross domain applicability, replication of such projects is a straight objective, that ought to happen, undeniably with local & contextual customisation. Reinventing of the wheel is certainly not a productive exercise& is a waste of scarce resources.

Futuristic ideas remains the sole preserve of the highest end professionals. Coming in the public domain, they are mandated to create awareness. Creating awareness on emerging technologies for the people who would gain out of it, is a noble cause. These technologies would grow far & wide. The benefits would be way more than we can imagine. It would put in place a knowledge sharing ecosystem. Big knowledge sharing platforms like TED helps worthwhile professionals, to increase their area of influence.

Forward linkages can happen in R&D. A conspicuous example is Blockchain technology. It’s discourses in the public domain led to large projects pertaining to it. Winning proposition no doubt. Students & young professionals can be the biggest gainers. All professional public speakers, whatever may be the topic or forum have their stories of success of focus, patience & perseverance. A big takeaway on its own. The forward linkages of professional public can be endless.

THE FORWARD LINKAGES OF PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC SPEAKING MAKES IT A DELIVERABLE.
