TECHNOLOGY ENABLED WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Empowerment is the sum total of mindset, attitude, education, skills, opportunities on the one side and capability to grab the opportunity, prove your worth and demonstrate the impact to the world. Women empowerment’s ephemeral rhetoric does not fall in the sustainable category. Incremental changes have undeniably happened. It’s time to go in for huge technology enablement simultaneously with present Infrastructure and push, to bring the disruptive change in women empowerment.
Quality education being the main tool of empowerment to reach the last mile and the last girl student only through technology. Direct teaching, discussions, mentoring can be an ideal method. Standard format has to be decided & rolled out across the country with customization where required . It should become a common knowledge.
Scalability becomes an non-issue with the digital backbone coming into existence . Supervision, monitoring and evaluation becomes easy. What is not measured is not done is the adage. Skilling can have a similar story. Connecting it to employment will decide its utility. Execution prevails.
Two women pilots flew Emirates A380 from Dubai to Geneva on occasion of the International Women’s Day. Lots of women are breaking the glass ceiling day in day out. Their stories in the stirring manner, visuals inclusive should be aggregated, publicized in the manner of a media blitzkrieg. The visual representation, a candid commentary & messages of the successful ladies repeated again and again will make the difference. This is the TRP the nation is yearning for.
A proactive national agency on the ppp model with complimentary skills sets to guide, mentor, provide connects to individuals, organizations across board can make a difference.
