THE INDIAN HR ENIGMA  MANAGEMENT

Enterprise after enterprise, publicize their famed recruitment process of taking in only the best.  The schools & colleges, the real creators, in their publicity material never talk of anything less than excellence. They testify it through the results.  Even a pre-school can charge ₹2.5 lakhs to make that monumental difference to the life of the little one, but for sure, yours.  Might be it started with the Kota business model, churning the best of MCQ brains, the country has to offer. Today, the whole education industry is out to produce the best Human Resources, through a very well planned and costly media blitzkrieg.

This is the real assembly line of the Indian Human Resources has been carefully manicured over the years with crash commercialization becoming the icing on the cake.  En masses entry into enterprises, IT & otherwise, maintains them and the enterprise at the barely functional levels.  The created and projected  manifestations certainly give a different feel. That is the feel they are supposed to create & exist.

Huge finishing schools are a regular feature to make the engineering grads functional.  The employability of the output of our professional colleges in under serious threat. Most of enterprises are caught up in a catch22 situation, hire and make functional what is readily available, on a business model which is somehow surviving or  hire top quality students, Indian or foreign, pay through their nose and elevate their goods and services to a different level to maintain profitability.

In this whole process,  the quality mismatch of the Indian existence is likely to change for the better. It would facilitate the back end assembly line to change & improve; the professional college’s output and taking it further it would affect our schooling process for the better.

The professional ecosystem should have only the deserving, otherwise it’s bound to be counterproductive.

HR IS THE FINAL DIFFERENTIATOR OF SKILLS & THUS QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT, ENTERPRISE & NATION.
