TO BE OR NOT TO BE
Hard work, perseverance, focus & passion have been flaunted around as the behavioural traits which helps achieve a goal. Goal is a one time achievement and is treated as an end itself. Expertise and more so world class expertise, doesn’t seem to be the aspiration of even the most audacious.
World class expertise reigns supreme and who achieve are persons extraordinaire. But the formula to this glory remained unknown. Malcom Gladwell, author and speaker has unravelled the secret, the 10,000 Hour Rule.
To achieve world class expertise in any skill depends greatly on practising the correct way for a total of around 10,000 hours. Quite akin to flying hours stipulation for pilot certification. Besides, the very specific examples of Beatles and Bill Gates, Gladwell considers himself as a testimony to this rule.
10,000 hours is the target.
THE ONLY KNOWN WAY IS THE HARD WAY.
