A PROJECT CALLED LIFE
The neat delineation of professional life & personal life is supposed to be the epitome of work life balance & a panacea to all ills of life. This is notwithstanding that fact that life itself is a project, everything that you do & everything that happens add up to final success of life. A successful professional life & a failed life combo does not happen & the vice versa is as untrue.
The human life can broadly be broken down into – education of children; inculcating right values, attitudes & mindset, income generation; financial growth & stability, social commitments; personal & societal, health; diet, nutrition, cooking et al. Undeniably, if all these were to happen, it has to move onto the project management mode. Project management, documentation & the like for personal life with timelines, deliverables & quality is unheard of but for sure will bring Indian family life on to a more stable footing.
Objectivity is the crux of Project management & this is a trait found missing in the project called for life. Misconceived notions of trust, emotions, life’s experience are made into a cocktail to make something happen, which is bound to fail. Objectivity will also provide an opportunity to get outside help; regular & sustainable, in areas required with the capability to achieve the desired results.
Emotions & feelings today play a primordial role in the project called life & subjectivity reigns supreme to the extent you will find professional arm twisters in large number of family settings. Clarity on issues which cannot be put on the smokescreen of emotions will help saner existence in those areas to start with.
This attitude has an uncanny habit moving onto the public domain – the professional one, we are familiar with this game in most of the organisations we work for. How much we care for feelings of others & more so of bosses & how much for the goals which the organisation has set out to achieve. High time life itself becomes a project with a fair sprinkling of emotions.
TO GET THE BEST OUT OF LIFE, MAKE YOUR LIFE YOUR DREAM PROJECT.
