ABSTRACT VISUALIZATION

Visualization has always been used to understand data, concepts and processes better. Music visualization most are accustomed with, increases the visual pleasure, adding a new element of rhythm.  Abstract visualization as a concept and convenience emerged out of dire need to understand huge quantum of data which could not have otherwise been understood.  Abstract visualization is a positive attempt to sort out huge amount manual effort for days and months together, mostly leading to incorrect conclusions and then starting the whole story over and over again.

This exercise took time and energy not commensurate to the results.  The insights which the data would throw up remained another unattended story.   This is thus an area of study of visual representations of abstract data to reinforce human cognition.  It’s the challenge of Big Data. Though numerical data is at the core, yet lots of non-numerical data such as text & geographic information also goes into it as per the analysis & consequent prediction required.

Abstract visualization is both a solution to the quantum of data to be handled and human perception which understands visualization in a natural manner.  This field is emerging out of research in human-computer interaction, computer science, graphics, visual design, business methods etc.  Today, it becomes the most critical element of scientific research, drug discovery, data mining, market research etc.  Data analysis today has become an indispensable part of applied research and an answer to the long standing problem statements of the industry.

Abstract visualization works on the presumption that visual representation utilizes “eye’s broad bandwidth pathway into mind” for better understanding of data projected in this format.  The future of data understating, analysis and prediction is abstract visualization with possibilities unknown as yet, both by way of findings & application.

ABSTRACT VISUALIZATION IS THE FUTURE OF BIG DATA, FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE UTILIZATION.
