ESTONIA – A DIGITAL TRAILBLAZER
With 1.3 million population and hardly any known IT company to boast of, Estonia leads the world in technology adoption in a manner, which can be just be envied but rarely replicated.
Since 1997 it’s been at the forefront of e-governance and IT revolution and has always maintained a formidable lead. Quite interestingly, govt. is leading this mission, with work, one of its kind professionalism, consistently and has been on a delivery oriented.[ will you look at this sentence structure?] Generally 3000 services are digital available.
The hack / breach / attack on its critical infrastructure in 2008 brought to the fore the vulnerabilities of the system. Now with a central of excellence in Cyber Security and lots of other measures, it runs one of the most robust IT systems in the world.
Once technology adoption becomes a habit, you are not ready to be challenged by any new technology. This is what Estonia epitomises. The Bitcoin & backend technology Blockchain is making waves in this country and would shortly start providing adoption models of this technology which the world can replicate.
