IPS – A BUNDLE OF JOY – MY LAST DAY
I called it a day, more than 5 years before my scheduled retirement taking VRS.
The sheer transformation from a young college boy to a seasoned police professional has been my journey of 30 years, 7 months and 10 days. Through the professional travails of training, chiefs of districts, range IG to international peacekeeping missions; heading HR and being a regional commander, through elections, CID, finance, human rights et al, through promotions, professional growth and perfecting human maturity, IPS made me a man of both of steel and spine. The service made me capable of taking any onslaught and jumping into any battle at the drop of a hat.
This whole transformation happened with ever encouraging seniors, batchmates; friends & brother in arms and ever supportive junior colleagues, each one has had a role of play in the professional persona what I am today. Not only IPS inculcated law & order, crime and other police expertise in me, it provided me with one of its kind expertise in technology, management, governance and even self improvement. My 12 year intensive technology journey from ERP Software development Police IT to Cyber Security to Disruptive Technologies has been the gift of IPS and the governance ecosystem.
360 degrees of technology is the expertise which I finally carry with myself. Crossing states, projects and technologies one added into the other. It lead to the creation of a huge technical human network enabling me to deliver at will. The support across the country emboldened me to make even more bolder and audacious moves. Today, as I move out of service, on my own choice, I have taken the plunge in areas so full of possibilities, challenges and opportunities; IT, Emerging Technologies and Cyber Security.
Making me an accomplished public speaker is one more IPS contribution to my life. It has enthralled me as much as it has enthralled the audiences. As I move into a civilian life, my long lasting friends will make the difference. Their help and support both in my professional and personal journey has been immense. It is extremely difficult to pen down this experience and the journey. I will shortly be launching my Technology Consultancy Aggregator under the banner of Indian Consulting Group. We will cross ways more often than we can imagine now. Sincere thanks for making me capable to take on the world.
