TAKE A CALL WHEN YOU ARE ON THE HIGH
Procrastination has taken a toll on the world; individuals, enterprises and nations. Expertise has no permanent value more so in the fast changing world of today. Whether you have the right level of expertise to take the plunge cannot be predicted by any artificial intelligence tool. At the end of the day its a gut feeling for everything transformational in life, at times it is what we call intuition. If your calling is more than the drag factors, there is a greater likelihood of a proactive decision.
The timing is also to be coordinated to you being at the best of the phases of the academic / research or professional life. Take a call when you are on the high and the chances of proving your decision right will have very high probability. The opposite is also true, when you are on the high is the time then you don’t want to quit something. Who wants to quit a cocooned existence? A change in career is supposed to be a choice when you are not doing well.
If the carrot is way bigger than what you are holding on to, then the chances of career change, entrepreneurship or getting into public life can happen. Behind this is the capability to perceive, awareness and capability to visualise the nebulous opportunity ahead and then take a call. To become a serial entrepreneur while being in business might still be easy, to be a serial entrepreneur of life is not an easy proposition.
Taking so called challenges and delivering has become a part of the routine rigmarole, while your seniors and well wishers guide you document each of these, to get professional benefits out of it. This is true of every profession. Short lived as it may, it provides a long lease of life to professionals of every hue and colour. When life revolves around the comforts it imparts, no calling anywhere and purpose of life lacking, of doing things which are either required for the society, business or the nation. Or also something one is really capable of.
THE SUM TOTAL OF OUR CAPABILITIES IS WAY BEYOND OUR REAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS. THE NATION IS THE LOSER.
