SMART CITY INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
IT is the general purpose technology of the day. We live in a cyber-physical world. Smart City is the functional conglomeration of infrastructure, critical and otherwise and utilities. At the backend it is IT all the way, on its robustness, is dependent the utility, usage and security of all value adds of a Smart City.
Information and the dependent workflow provides for the functioning and control of every activity of a smart city. Modular information architecture of each of the components with security as a design element integrating into a Smart City Information Architecture provides for an integrated control and smooth functioning.
The data thus generated would help improve the services in a big way through analytics. Through an iterative process a near perfect model would evolve, ideal for Indian conditions. Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence would propel smart cities to the next level.
The integration of the Smart City Information Infrastructures into a national one would provide robustness, dependability and irreversibility to the project.
